ati spanned desktop


my xserver bounces when i try to span the desktop across 2 displays (mag innovision crt -vga, sylvania tv -s-video). i have a 9200se running redhat 9.

when i run 'fglrxconfig', ...it asks me for configuration layout, i select '4. big desktop' (clone mode works fine)... i run 'startx' (then crack). screen blinks 3 times then it runs some display utility which sets it to the vesa generic driver and creates 'XF86Config' (XF86Config-4 is also below)

i got it working with xorg6.8.2 and of fglrx-8.16.20.

my dri is still not working,
