Are nVidia6100-based mobos problematic?

I'm doing the cpu/mobo upgrade dance. Going from an old Asus Via266 board with an Athlon 1000 Tbird to an AMD X2 cpu and a new AM2 mobo (not sure of a brand yet.)

Question: are motherboards based on the nVidia GeForce 6100 chipset a problem under Linux?

I have read a few reviews at newegg where this is mentioned. Some folks claim that they had problems with the onboard video. I've never used an nVidia based mobo before (all were Via based.)
