Anything to be careful of with Linux laptop?

I'm going to be buying a laptop soon for university, and I was wondering if there was anything I should be careful of, or would it be the same as a Linux PC? I'm referring to driver issues, compatibility with hardware, etc.

Check out www.rcubedtech.com.

I've had their LS1250 for close to three years now, and I love it.

They have custom kernel and driver modification to ensure that the hardware on their laptops are as close to 100% functional as possible.

Try this site for help with Linux on a Laptop. There are probably others, but this one looks like it covers a lot of brands.
