any way to enhance the Trident Blade 3D Card?

hi
I have a Trident Blade 3D video card on RH 9 , with only 8 MB of memory, it displayed quite slow video when I run two movies.
is there a way to make it work better?
My system is Via CPU 800mhz with VIA Mini-Itx Main board, 128 SDRAM
correct driver is installed, the /proc/mtrr shows the right info , but when I check the video setting in system tools ( not sure if it is there) it had the harware acceleration disabled.
any suggestions ?
thanks a lot

The reference

will tell you pretty much the whole story about Linux video and VIA Mini-ITX.
