Question Access Internet through RHEL5


Dear Friends,

I m very new to Linux. I am not knowing anything about it.

Due to requirement I have installed on my system. And I m not able to access the Internet on my system.

I need help. Its very urgent.

Thanks in advance.

Information is not enough to shortout your problem.
let us know the result of ping yahoo.com or someother outsite
OR
ping your default gateway

How are you getting your IP address info? DNS info? Gateway info? Is the firewall enabled? is SELinux enabled? What are the output of ifconfig and route -an and/or cat /etc/resolv.conf

The problem got solved. I had done the installation through PXE server. Thats way the problem occured. Again I had done the installation from CDROM . And the problem is resolved.
