Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Question AACRAID Configuration Question

Can anyone provide pointers to the setup and configuration of an AACRAID environment under 2.6.11.7 (besides compiling the module )? We are trying to get SATA drives working on a Supermicro mainboard with the built in Adaptec RAID firmware. I've found nothing in the kernel Documentation directory.

As an aside, we've tried the Marvell 3.4.0 SATA driver to set up the mirrors using the kernel's md RAID, but that hangs the system and totally corrupts the filesystems on the SATA drives under moderate to heavy load when reading from one pair of drives to the other pair of drives (2 mirrors) or from either mirror set to a SCSI tape drive.

Thanks,

Tim
