hi, i know this is not directly linked to linux but i dont know of any other good fourms online!
I have an ATI Radeon 9000 pro graphics card, it has 2 moniter ports on it, 1 is a standard VGA 15pin port (which i am using now). The other is a 24pin which are in a 3 by 8 block + another 4pin's in a sort of square shape.
ok i know this isnt much help but i was wondering if anyone could tell me whether the second port is DVI ? because im looking to buy a new moniter and i need to know what sort of connector it is.
any help would be greatly appricated.
Ben

is this normal VGA, im confused because it says 15pin but, WHAT DOES D-Sub (or D-Sub VGA) MEAN ?
also, is DVI digital and VGA analog ?
Edit:
ok i have now worked out most of my problems, DVI is digital and VGA analog. still what does D-Sub mean ?
and i have 1 other question, is there a differance between DVI -I and DVI -D ? because my graphics card has a DVI -I port and i want to know whether i have to use DVI -I or if i can use both?
