A few Problems...

First:
I can't fit my entire desktop on my monitor...I've gone to every option in the control center and I can't find a way to fix it.

Second:
I can't get any sound out of my computer. The cd's play but i don't hear anything through my speakers.

Third:
My mouse wheel isn't working.

Please Help...

I dont have a clue about your display, except it happened to me once and I fixed it using 1024x768 resolution, device VESA Framebuffer, and a randomly picked moniter . For your sound, try

#alsamixer

and look to see if there is an 'm' on the top of each channel, like this:

M M
---------

______

if there is, unmute it (see alsamixer man page) and turn up the volumes.
then do 'alsactl store'

if there isnt, then try configuring your sound.....

and for your mouse wheel, press it down and its mouse button 2, its not supposed to be able to scroll............

yippie!!! slackware!!

um, to configure your sound.... i dunno...... you can try configuring alsa (see the manpage), but I doubt that will do it.

your best bet is to recompile the kernel and include the drivers for your card.....
