3Mandriva free 2010.2 "No CDROM device found" macbook pro

hey guys, unsure if this is an appropriate forum to post this. i got frustrated with mandriva in the past when i had these problems and swiched to ubuntu. Ubuntu was good but i really wanted Mandriva. I have made a working dvd. I know it works because it will install correctly on a virtual machine on parallels desktop. I have searched google and my problem seems to be encountered by many others, but i just can't seem to find a solution.
My problem is, i run the Mandriva dvd, it works and shows me the four options, "boot from hard disc, install ect" i choose install, and then it comes up with "No CDROM device found" i say ok, then it says "which driva should i try to gain MEDIA access?"

I'm lost with what to do guys, i'm a newbie with linux, and only fiddled with Ubuntu a little (which installed fine by the way(uninstalled now))
by the way i thought this might be the appropriate place to post this because it boots from dvd but then doesn't sense it. (i've aslo post this in the laptop and mandriva forums)
