3Com 3CRDAG675 Wireless and RedHat 9

I have recently purchased a 3COM 3CRDAG675 Wireless PCI adapter, and am trying to get it to run on my RedHat 9 system. I have kept the kernel up to date using up2date, and am currently on 2.4.20-30.9. I grabbed the madwifi drivers from CVS, and went to install. When I run Make, however, I get what you see below.

The present kernel configuration has modules disabled.
Type 'make config' and enable loadable module support.
Then build a kernel with module support enabled.

I am a linux newbie, of course, and am unsure where to go from here. If it is the case, how do I find what modules are needed, but disabled? Where would I learn to go about building a kernel with those modules enabled? Has anyone else run into this issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

David Franklin

Talking Solved my own issue

For anyone else having this problem, I solved by doing the following:

If you've just installed a RedHat kernel package, have all of the correct symlinks, and it still won't work, then it could be because you don't have a built/configured kernel. To fix this problem (without building a new kernel):

cp /boot/config-{kernel_version} /lib/mobules/{kernel_version}/build/.config

You should then find that it works, thanks to Donald Wheeler for this tip.
