1450 wireless.not recognized. wierd


ok, first of all, my lap:
DELL INspiron 8600
Windows XP SP2 and UBUNTU, tow diferent partitions.
WLAN 1450 wireless Dual Band internal. Broadcom chipset.

i have red a lot, so i downloaded ndiswrapper...i installed it... i got the .inf for my Wireless card... i installed the driver with ndiswrapper... ndiswrapper says this: $ndiswrapper -l
Installed ndis drivers:
bcmwl5a driver present, hardware present
... lspci says this: 0000:02:03.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4309 802.11a/b/g (rev 03)
... iwconfig says this: $ iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

sit0 no wireless extensions.
... I try to make a network profile, and there are no wireless cards... the icon that suppouse to tell me how is my wireless connection say that i dont have any device installed.. i even change the /etc/module file.. added a line "ndiswrapper".. i have read a lot about this issue and apparently everyone can make it with ndiswrapper, for some excpetions...
Am I doing something wrong?
there is something else to do?
plz... thank you for your cooperation, and appreciate if you keep the n00b lenguage...
