X Problems

Hello,

I have just upgraded to RedHat 7.3 & when opening a shell in X & su-ing to root have been trying to open either userconf or linuxconf i get the following errors

Errors message from remadmin :Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Errors message from remadmin :Xlib: No protocol specified
Errors message from remadmin
Errors message from remadmin
Errors message from remadmin :Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0

Any advice on a fix for this

try looking for x server patches

This might work: xhost +localhost. Run this command before you su to root.

I had this problem to and it was also fixed by this solution. Why did the 7.3 upgrade do this? Anyone know?
