Your previous post you stated its not uncommon for women to use Linux, then this post your glad to see women using Linux.. Did you forget that you knew women can and are using Linux? Your posts just don't make sense as you say one thing and then turn around and say another thing...

Imagine - a gorgeous woman who hacks the kernel on the side.
Niiiiicccceeee
Maybe I don't live in a 'standard' place, but baseing on the ratio of woman-programmers I know (what's so great in kernel haching? it's just normal programming, btw) it seems to me that you're not looking carefully, TheOneKEA.

I wonder if any of them are attached
I'm using Linux. I switched from Windows about a month or so ago and don't miss the crashes.
Attached? Yeah - to Linux.
I used to be in the LinuxChix TechTalk group until the moderator flamed me out of there for trying to help her. Turned out I had answered the question right with proof via web site links that proved my answer to what she was specifically asking was correct. But she acted like I was way off, even though others further enhanced my answer. I was told by another member in private email that English isn't her first language and she gets defensive. Not good. But she doesn't moderate all the mail lists, thankfully. I usually just leave when people attack at me or I just don't like some of the social opinions that are expressed. Not worth the battle, ya know?
The lists aren't that high traffic either, and I did see guys posting so I guess it's for everyone, male or female. FWIW, I think that LinuxQuestions has more accurate answers as far as I can tell, and more interesting topics.
i don't know if you have ever been to ireland but noone that i know uses linux most of them don't even know what it is and i'm not talking about women only but there's gotta be someone using it cause the magazine sells 3 of the 5 copies they get (one of them is mine)
on the subject; who feels like e-mailing me their phone #?
no just kidding, Im part of a local LUG and I havent seen a chick there ever, but at my moms work (county tech department) and theres like a 50/50 ratio there. mabee its just my generation. it kinda sux, but I know a few chicks at school who show some interest in computers (although theyr mostly into the art side of things)
Don't see why women have to have a site, especially that most forums don't actually show your gender. But I don't mind either. I do agree with the founder though that patience a friendliness is not so often found on linux forums, exept here (I am still amazed with the good spirits of LQ.org users)
I'd be more interested if the site showed a focus on things that draw women to computers. Well, my wife would be at least.
