Wireless Headsets and Linux Compatibility

I'm cautious to buy any sort of new hardware until I'm reasonably sure that I can get it to work with my systems: Ubuntu, Debian, Kali.

I've read a bit on the subject of wireless USB headphones and Linux and that it can be a sort of 'hit or miss' affair in terms of getting them to work. Is this true?

If not; Which if any headsets would you recommend that I buy for compatibility and comfort?

My humble gratitude,

Hi,

I use Slackware with my JBL T450BT headset via BT without issues. Battery life for the JBL is good and fidelity is great.
Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy!

The Arch Wiki article on bluetooth headsets might be helpful; it specifies the particular Bluetooth protocol that Linux supports.

ThinkPenguin carries a Bluetooth headset, but it seems kind of pricey to me.

I was certain that my Logitech H800 worked with Fedora. Currently doesn't, but generally should: https://superuser.com/questions/7393...h-ubuntu-linux.

This headset can be connected with a USB dongle and Bluetooth. I (believe I) successfully tried the dongle.
