windows to see logical fat32 partition
hi
i got the idea to partition my hard drive to contain some free space formatted as fat32 so both linux and windows could use it, however i made the mistake to create that partition last, and it became a logical partition of an extended partition, and now I'm not sure why windows can't see it, because I screwed something or because Windows will never be able to see a logical part. on a linux created extended partition.
what should i do to make it work?
/dev/sda1 ~ ntfs (ACTIVE)
/dev/sda2 ~ ext3f ~ /
/dev/sda3 ~ ext3f ~ /home
/dev/sda4 ~ extended
- /dev/sda5 ~ ext3f ~ /mnt/linux (would be / for other distro)
- /dev/sda6 ~ ext3f ~ /usr/local
- /dev/sda7 ~ swap
- /dev/sda8 ~ fat32(in theory)
Can I make win to see it, or should I reformat the whole non-ntfs area and rearrange partitions?
thanks a lot,
