Question win98 after linux

i have a dual boot system with rh8 and win2k..with lilo on the mbr...and everything working just fine...

For some stupid reason now i have to install win98 and go to triple boot.
However i dont want to make any reinstalls of win2k or rh8 (it was a pain in the *** to configure). The present problem is that win98 overwrites the mbr during install.

Is there a way to take a copy of the mbr and restore it after the install so i can manually add win98 to lilo, or if i just run lilo after the install will it be able to detect both win2k and win98 ?

Btw is it possible to boot win98 from a logical partition using a boot disk?
...sorry for the overloaded windoze flavor.

just create a linux boot disk. install win98. then boot with the linux boot disk and run /sbin/lilo -v to re-install lilo.

and don't forget to add the entry for Win98. I can't remember it right - i think i have installed win98 on a logical partioin and it ran fine.

Win98 MUST be installed on the primary partition otherwise it won't work.

And remember to check which partition your /boot (or / ) is located. You can see it running df.
