win and linux


Dear Reader

i Have dual boot machine win-98 and linux.
1.
my win-98 was corrucpted and i reload the windows after re-installation of window it remove my dual boot now i can not access my linux partition please tell me the solution of this problem


2.

I want to install dosemu on my machine tell me how to compile and dosemu and how to configure it

use a lilo boot disk (you should have made one when you installed). boot from that and then login as root. type lilo at the prompt and you should see it saying `adding linux windows'

just reboot without the floppy and things should be fine

Thumbs up not really necessary but more of an explination

Hopefully Alex's reply has already sorted you out. Incase you didn't understand what has happened is Windows has overwritten your MBR (Master Boot Record) and in the process trashed LILO. A bit of a pain but easily fixed.
