why can't I open ximian evolution???

When I click on ximian evolution under the k menu, the system looks like reading from the disk for sometime, the small clock in the mouse pointer shows up, but after that it simply doesn't open ximian. When I open the process table, there's no ximian there, either.
What can be happening?
Thanks to you all!

The evidence suggests that the evolution executable isn't where KDE expects. Try locate evolution or whereis evolution, then ammend the K menu to point to the correct location.
