I mostly use IceWM with some Xfce thrown in on my laptop. I use KDE on Fedora but since I use my laptop a lot more I voted light

maybe someday ill check out the others, but for now ill stick with what comes bundled with the distros i use.

E.

Eh, Gnome is heavier, but my computer seems to run pretty darn fast for a 733Mhz, I'm not hurting for space, and it easier on the eyes.

I'm a recent convert, myself. I was addicted to IceWM for years, but just a few weeks ago, when I changed distributions, I put in a full-fledged KDE 3.3.1 desktop, to try it out. I never realized how much I was missing!
I'm of course going to keep Ice on my low-speed/low-res machines, or for when I work over remote X11 from my Mac, but here on my Linux desktop, I don't think I'll ever go back.

I use XFCE4, because it is light, but still uses the gtk, so it looks kind of like gnome. I run it on my AMD 2600+ system.

I really like icewm on my 2500 xp machine, but I use the newer kde on my production box (1800 xp).

I use fluxbox. I cant stand a huge wms. Main reason i hated windows was becuase of the gui with tons of stuff i would never use.

I don't like my window manager to configure my system/hardware, which is why I use a window manager instead of a whole desktop environment like kde/gnome/xfce.

I like working in KDe/GNOME unless I am administering a server or workstation in which case I use fluxbox if I need to use a GUI at all.

Not that it matters, but KDE is what I would recommend to anyone, so long as their hardware can support it. The more RAM, the better. Just my 2 cents -- J.W.
