what is arch.make file ? and how it can be created in ubuntu linux ?

I m using Siesta package first time. When I try to compile. Then one warning flashed to creat a arch.make file first. What is this? how it can be formed in ubuntu linux plate form?

How I can install g95 in this plateform?

The GNU Fortran 95 compiler ..
sudo apt-get install gfortran
.. provides version 4.4.1 in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic.
Other choices : gfortran-4.2 , gfortran-4.3 .

cd /usr/bin/
sudo ln -s gfortran g95
.....
.....
There also exists a new "g95" .. http://www.g95.org/
The binary version should be usable
