What does this Modprobe error mean?


Running RH9. Wondering about the modprobe messages in the system log:

Sep 18 17:44:01 ServerPress smartd[3041]: Device: /dev/hdg, is SMART capable. Adding to "monitor" list.

Your system is configured to load modules, that you haven't got installed, so its failing to find them. Probably drivers, if everthing is working find you probably didn't need those drivers anyway, check your /etc/modules.conf to see what the devices where.
