What's your hostname?

Back onto the subject of completely worthless, but yet interesting threads of random query: What is your machine's hostname? And, better yet, why did you name it that?

Cheers,

Finegan

i really don't get this whole foo / foobar thing. it's a horrible word, and it always bugs me when programs churn out a dozen foo's whenever they go wrong... maybe it's just the season making me a miserable git, but i hate it. seems cliquey almost.. whch is daft. like everyones so cool to use it, but everyone does... so it's nothign new... and there's so many better words to use in debugging etc... arse is my personal favourite. and i think the Moo!!'s that netscape 6 gives are nice.

Alright, I dig the responses so far... so I guess its time for mine (this is the whole house):

Tenacious: First Linux box... yeah it tested my tenacity.

Horatio: Server - Hamlet, what can I say I have a BA in english...

Nimble: Laptop... I just wish it didn't weigh 9 pounds

Jack/Tyler: Slack8/Win98 dual boot, You get the joke if you've seen Fight Club.

Gomer: The toilet terminal, its old and stupid, named after Gomer Pyle

Wurlitzer: House MP3 server

Mercury-Pluto: The nine laptops we got free from some such dementia.

Printerstand: 386 we nearly got RH on. Guess what it does now?

Ruprecht: Another dumb machine, seen

this film?

Samsara: First Debian Experience.

Push42: DA reference and a coding joke.

Valhalla: In theme with Samsara, sort of.

Che: Supposed to be a server for a sort of consumer gripe site so we named it after Che Guevara, but instead we gutted it for parts, It runs... er, sorta, diskless.

Pants23: Discordian numeric humor added with a touch of Georgia Tech

tradition .

Keep it coming,

Cheers,

Finegan
