weird suggestion Linux only licenses heheh!


i have a weird suggestion, there is many apps that are created for linux in the 1st place and they are opensource or GPL licence, but someone ported it to windows enviroment. why not create a new licences which allow only that program to run in linux with this someone will be forced to use linux coz he wanted to use linux only apps
hehe!!!!!

then linux will take over M$oft hahahahahahah!!!!

Er... that'd be great, except most Linux apps are licensed under the GPL and are open-source, so there's no way to prevent someone from porting them to Windows.

Besides, isn't it a good thing to let people run originally-Linux-only software on Windows? That way they get familiar with it, and when they switch to Linux later, they'll already be familiar with the applications.

We don't want to force anyone to use Linux. Linux is all about choice! I don't think Microsoft has a future anyway. Just give it time. IBM might be dumping Microsoft, for starters...

The simple fact that people are taking the time to port Linux apps to Windows tells me that there is some really high quality work going on in the Linux community.

Trying to squeeze money out of people, who are in actuallity spreading the word about open source by doing these ports, will only group Linux enthusiasts in the same boat as money hungry Microsoft drones.
