Wayland fractional scaling performing REALLY badly

I enabled fractional scaling for Gnome here, the options showed up in display settings so I tried 'em. Well, performance sucks. Any sort of moving content runs at what feels like 30 fps or lower at 150% scale, and even worse at 125% and 175% along with stuttering. It sucks because 125% is perfect for my display. The mouse will even run badly sometimes. At 100% or 200% scale performance is perfect 60 fps for pretty much everything, so it's probably not my intel graphics taking a dump. I'm running a fairly clean Fedora 32 with no Gnome extensions. Anyone know what slowing things down so badly?

I can only suggest you search for the existing bug reports or file one if necessary...
