warnquota for groups
Installing disk quotas for a group was succesfull. When soft or hard limits are exceeded, messages are displayed on the system terminal. However, I wish these messages being transferred to the group administrator by e-mail. The /etc/quotagrpadmins file should hold the administrator's name.
The command warnquota -g, the programm to send the e-mail, searches for quotagroups and the name of their administrators in the file above.
The response of the warnquota command is:
Administrator for a group Engineering not found. Cancelling mail.
So, warnquota "sees" the right group, however not the administrator.
When I make changes in the quotagrpadmins file, the responses of warnquotas show reaction. So, warnquota consults the file.
So, I think I made some mistakes in my quotagrpadmins file.
This is what I did.
user: root
mygroup: Engineering
quotagrp: AdminEngineering
In verified of course wether AdminEngineering was a member of the group Engineering. Now, perhaps my quotagrpadmins file is not coorect.
Please, could anyone share this problem with me?
Note: I prefer working in the command line.
Thanks,
Gerard
