Is there any linux portal to be accessible via a (normal) wap enabled mobile phone?

Thanks in advance,

WAP is just a different markup language (WML) delivered via HTTP, so you can set up a WAP server with Apache really easily. Long ago, I set such a thing up, and I sort of remember how. You need to put an "AddType text/vnd.wap.wml .wml" line in your httpd.conf file so that Apache knows what MIME type to put in the header when it serves out your .wml files. There's a way to get it to automatically send your index.wml to clients requesting that MIME type too, but I forget how that's done. It's in the Apache docs, though.
