view my histort


Hi do u know where linux keeps the history.. I want to see my history but navigatin with arrows it is a slow task.. So i want to do that with examining the file and searching to it

Thx a lot
Perhaps u also know some commands for bash so as to fast search to the history and navigate through it... e.x the ! symbol...
Can u give me some links plz?

$ history | less

And then you can use /<search-term> to search thru it is what I always do, etc.

You can always use:

$ history | grep <search-term>

As well, to look for whatever it is you need. This is all basic shell commands, you should really learn how to use the shell.
