Unhappy Very annoying bands in X.

Hi all,
I´ve this problem that in my mind has become unfixable. Whenever I enter X, whether it be KDE/GNOME/Window Maker there are these very annoying bands approximately 3/4 of the way down my desktop.

So far I have tried editing the XF86Config, updated the driver, did the updates from the rhn, and I even went so far as to reinstall redhat! Right now I´m thing they look like the screen is not refreshing properly (maybe ). Anyways... If anyone can help me in anyway I will be very grateful.

I have an Intel 82845G/GL Graphics Controller. But I've already been to intel and updated the driver.

maybe your refresh rates are off like you think, try doing a google search for info on your monitor, looking for your horizontalsync and verticalsync, these values should be entered in your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file. Other than that I'm not sure what to say, had similar problem, but the drivers fixed the problems for me, and being RH I would think that it would work fine
