Vírus that slows down the copying of files to USB

I’m Being attacked by a virus that slows down the copying of files to USB. File copying starts at a rate of 30MB/sec and progressively slow down to 0 before the copy is completed. I’m using Ubuntu 20.04.

This seems to be some kind of Trojan because the antivirus didn’t detect it. I believe he just corrupted the usb driver somehow.

Can anyone help on how to fix this?

What makes you think this is a virus?

You'll also find that as you've provided no useful information other than the distribution you're using. What's the source medium, what the USB you're trying to copy it to is, etc. etc. you'll not get a meaningful answer.

Viruses that slow the copying of files specifically from a USB thumbdrive don't exist. It would be idiotic to create a virus that does this; to what end? Viruses/malware steal information or create botnets.

Just because you have strange behavior on a system does not mean it is infected with a virus. What evidence do you have that your system is infected with malware?
