Using Wine, shortcuts to executables

I finally got Wine working semi-correctly, and was wondering: How could I make a link to an executable (such as a desktop icon) so that the windows program I am pointing to is automatically started by Wine?

While I'm on the topic, has anyone gotten kazaa or kazaa lite working well with wine? I can get it to open, but the program freezes before it can connect.
