URGENT - Cant boot up. ...droping you to a shell....

I think i chattr +i -R on the /etc directory and now i cant boot. Im getting:
An error Occurred during the file system check. Dropping you to shell; the system will reboot when you leave the shell. Give root password for maintenance.

Other errors:
/etc/rc.sysinit: /etc/mtab permission denied

How do i just fix this and chattr -i on the dir?
