Unable to save settings to kmenu

When using MEPIS with KDE, menu editor, make changes to menu, save and everything is good. When log-out user/reboot the settings do not stick. kickerrc show's settings just will not save when I log-out. Copy changed kickerrc file to diff dir reboot and it is the same, just not the one in ....kde/share/config/ dir.
