unable to load alsa sound drivers for als4000 with kernel 2.6.3

Hi there. I just installed the new kernel (2.6.3), but I get an error when I try to insert my sound drivers:

Code:
[root@thabox ~]# modprobe snd-als4000
snd_als4000: falsely claims to have parameter joystick_port
FATAL: Error inserting snd_als4000
(/lib/modules/2.6.3/kernel/sound/pci/snd-als4000.ko): Invalid argument
I have no clue what to make of this error. Google gave me nothing.
I suspect this is because of an broken driver. How do I verify this? Should I submit an bug report?

The drivers have been compiled against the wrong kernel. Recompile the drivers.

Thats not posible. The alsa drivers come with the 2.6 kernels. I compiled the alsa modules just like all the other kernel modules.

dont do that do this ...

download 10.2 alsa drivers, libs, oss and utils

now unpack them all but dont touch them

now recompile your kernel and don't include alsa just load the soundcore

reboot and now compile your new sound drivers.
