uh oh, help please


ok i no what i did, installed what i thought was the correct .rpm driver for my video card, well it was the wrong one... when i try to boot into linux i get some sort of an error message, i cant really read it and it kills the x server and lets me out to what i guess is shell, im using rh8, i do have a boot disk, what can i do to get my system back?

what type of video card do you have and what is the driver? im not terribly familiar with rpm but i think you can do rpm -e packagename to uninstall it then reinstall the right one, if you need to get onto the net without X use lynx website

i have a 9000 pro ati radeon 128 meg, it did work with out the driver, i just wanted the latest one
