UFS support on Linux


Hi,

Does linux supports UFS filesystem. I have oberved that Squid uses or simulates ufs filesystem for its storage.

Well... UFS1 is supported. Atleast thats what I've read. UFS2 still isn't supported last I checked (soft updates). You can create a UFS filesystem in cfdisk.... So I suppose it's supported in that respect. I've never been able to get linux to see a BSD partition.... Maybe I'm just stupid or haven't tried hard enough but I would always get a bad magic something or other in dmesg or when I would try to manually mount.... In my expierence, I would say don't bother..... I've tried until I was blue in the face and I could never read my FreeBSD partition in Linux....... I'd be really interested in hearing what others have to say on this....
