trouble mounting CDROM

I'm trying to mount my CDROM drive, but having no luck.

I know the drive is good, because I just finished installing Debian(latest unstable release) from a CD.

I've tried mounting it a couple ways, but everytime I get:

mount: you must specify the file system type.

I've never seen that before, and I've tried a few different CD's just to make sure it wasn't a bad CD.

the line from my fstab is:

/dev/hdc /cdrom auto ro,user,noauto 0 0

I've tried as a normal user, and as root to no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

try mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom

it might not matter, but just to be sure you might also want to put that specifically in your fstab instead of auto, and also change user to users:
/dev/hdc /cdrom iso9660 ro,users,noauto 0 0
