terminal emulation

At work, we installed SuSE 6.4 onto a once M$-friendly computer, but we haven't figured out yet how to configure equipment like routers and switches with the serial port. Is there any terminal emulation software like WRQ's Reflection floating around out there for Linux, so that we can use the serial port again? Or is there one in the SuSE collection somewhere? Everything I find about serial ports is for using modems, and that doesn't help at all.

Thanks!

Blast from the past

I stumbled across your unanswered thread from 6 years ago!! A lifetime in Linux. I assume you discovered minicom at some point at happily
communicated away with your serial links.
