Terminal editor's path/variable


Currently as an example if I type at the prompt $fcrontab -e it brings up vi as the default editor.

How and where do I change the editor that the terminal starts up as default?

All you need to do is to add this to your /etc/profile:

EDITOR=joe
export EDITOR
