Terminal dosen't show location

Hi. I am setting up fluxbox to use as my window manager. When ever I open a terminal,I just get
Code:
bash-3.1$
I do not get my current location e.g. x@machinename/home~$
I was wondering how I can fix this.Also, is there a way I can stop the x and y coordinates from appearing every time I move a window? Thanks for your help.

Mind posting your '/etc/bashrc' please?

Hi. It appears as though I do not have a /etc/bashrc. If it helps any,the terminal works fine in kde,so it just has this issue in fluxbox.

The environment variables PS1 (or PS2.. maybe both, its been a while since i fiddled with them) control what you see at the prompt, KDE is probably setting this variable itself.

Hi. Those environment variables are:

Code:
PS1='\s-\v\$ '
PS2='> '
However,I have no idea what they should be.

Code:
man bash
search for PS1, it will point you to another section called "prompting" or something like that
