Talking syslog flood using external hard drive through USB2

Hi Penguins.

This is a story of a kind of silly.

I installed USB755FW, (pc-card - USB2 firewire). It works, with USB and firewire support kernel options on. How nice to have fast external drive!!

Problem was, syslog flood with USB2. syslog size grows up rapidly, 7-8 digits within a while. then uses up all free space. Content looks like this.
Code:
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: queuecommand called
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: *** thread awakened.
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: Command TEST_UNIT_READY (6 bytes)
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: 00 00 00 00 00 00
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: Bulk Command S 0x43425355 T 0x2 L
0 F 0 Trg 0 LUN 0 CL 6
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: usb_stor_bulk_transfer_buf: xfer 3
1 bytes
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: Status code 0; transferred 31/31
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: -- transfer complete
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: Bulk command transfer result=0
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: Attempting to get CSW...
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: usb_stor_bulk_transfer_buf: xfer 1
3 bytes
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: Status code 0; transferred 13/13
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: -- transfer complete
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: Bulk status result = 0
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: Bulk Status S 0x53425355 T 0x2 R 0
 Stat 0x0
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: scsi cmd done, result=0x0
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: *** thread sleeping.
Nov 4 20:02:30 mypenguin kernel: usb-storage: queuecommand called

Problem was: kernel option, "USB Mass storage verbose debug"
USB1 was slow, so that my penguin did not suffer, (or I am not patient...)

Turn this option off and happy penguin!!

Happy Penguins!
