synchronize time between linux and XP server


I have 2 servers; one running debian another one runing xp embeded. Is there a way to synchornize 2 machine time in bash script? I want to do the synchronizeation everyo couple of months.

Hi -

Both XP and Linux (now!) use the standard internet "NTP" protocol for time synchronization.

You don't even need a "cron" job (Linux) or "at" script (windows). Just enable "ntpd" on Linux, and enable "Internet time" on Windows. To make sure they're in synch, have them both point to the same time server ("time.windows.com", for example).
