Stack trace

our database sometimes will generate the error log to the system when the program has problem , the error log is usable for dignostic , howerver I only found that only the statement in the log "Automatic Stack Trace Functionality not supported", it ask to enable the stack file in the system ( we use RH 8 ) , could suggest how to enable it so that it can produce a readable stack trace core file ? thx in advance.
