Hi,
I am starting a daemon bash script like:
Code:
nohup mydaemonscript.sh &
It is basically an infinite loop and it appears to be dying about once every hour, by a SIGKILL (I think it's SIGKILL since my exit 0 trap is not triggered.)
Can anyone tell me if linux has some sort of auto-kill clean-up for orphans (like my daemon becomes after I log out)? And if so, is there a list of 'don't kill' etc.
Any other theories?
thanks.
