some windows too large in KDE

I just installed SuSe 7.3 on my Toshiba laptop. Most things are fine with the display but some apps come up with windows larger than the desktop. Even if I make changes I can't get to the buttons at the bottom to apply them. I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Kelly

Try adjusting the screen res. with atl-ctrl-(+/-). Use the + or - on the key pad to increase or decrease the screen res.

Thanks for that tip. It does toggle between 2 resolutions, but it enlarges the whole sceen and not just the windows.
Thanks
