Sharpness of display

Is there some reason why everything appears more "blurred" using XFree86 versus Windows? Drivers? It's just something that bugs me now and again..

The first thing you wanna check is the refresh rate of your display. Try lowering the refresh rate and see if that helps. Refresh rate is a function of both the display and your graphics card.
