Sendmail Question

I currently run RH 8 and I am only using sendmail to receive mail from my ISP and then forward it off to my mailserver. Once my mail server receives it, it gets delivered to the user. This is ALL my linux box does. It does not send ANY mail outside my internal network.

My question is this: I have email messages on the Linux box which are failure messages that were never delivered. The weird thing is that these messages, when viewed, are for emails outside my network. Why are these emails here? And what the heck are they?

Did you check if your Sendmail is closed for relaying?
If it's not a spam issue because you're running Sendmail as your MDA on the loopback device and use fetchmail to pull in from remote POP3 accounts, then could you post one error message?
