Segmentation fault (TTF)

I'm installing new fonts to Redhat 8.0 but when I execute the command "mkfontscale" i recive the follow error "Segmentation fault (core dumped)"
I get this fonts from "windows 2000 server"
The core has the following:

This GDB was configured as "i386-redhat-linux"...(no debugging symbols found)...
Core was generated by `mkfontscale'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.
