Dunno about disk on chip, but between SCSI and IDE, SCSI. Faster than IDE, especially when the bus is loaded with drives, you can isolate your slow IDE CD on its own bus and you can add more than 4 devices if needed without having to add additional IDE controllers. Also more reliable since SCSI is primarily used in higher-end desktop and server systems. Another important note: If you are running software RAID and an IDE drive fails, the bus goes down and with it the machine, till you replace the drive. If a SCSI drive fails, the machine will stay up until you replace the failed drive. I run SCSI at home and this has saved my butt more than once. If money is truly no object, get SCSI and a SCSI hardware RAID Adapter.

Welp, SCSI-drives usually come with a warranty
thrice as long as IDE ones, they usually spin >
10.000 whereas most current IDE's are still
5.400 or 7.200 ... and since money is no object:

Get a decent RAID adapter, buy at least 3, better
5 SCSI drives and arrange them to a RAID-5 system.
HIgh performance and redundancy :} ... if you do go
for RAID 5 bear in mind that you'll *only* get about
two/thirds of the physical HDD's capacities (due to
striping, 4 parity bits for each byte stored)

Cheers,
Tink
