scsi hard drives problems

Hi,
on Linux redhat server (6.2), i face a problem to make a copy of one scsi disk :/dev/sda to an other one /dev/sdd.

Due to a problem on the fisrt disk system disk ( the server has 3 scsi disks), on 8363MB each one, i have to change it , with an other of the same size, i want to make a whole copy disk with dd, and create a boot sector like this

dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdd bs=512 count=101M

When i boot on the new system disk it's doesn't work , do you have any solution?
these are y partitions table on the two disks

root:/mnt : fdisk /dev/sdd

The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 1106.
There is nothing wrong with that, but this is larger than 1024,
and could in certain setups cause problems with:
1) software that runs at boot time (e.g., LILO)
2) booting and partitioning software from other OSs
(e.g., DOS FDISK, OS/2 FDISK)

Command (m for help): p

Disk /dev/sdd: 255 heads, 63 sectors, 1106 cylinders
Units = cylindres of 16065 * 512 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdd1 * 1 8 64228+ 83 Linux
/dev/sdd2 9 1106 8819685 5 Extended
/dev/sdd5 9 582 4610623+ 83 Linux
/dev/sdd6 583 713 1052226 82 Linux swap
/dev/sdd7 714 844 1052226 83 Linux
/dev/sdd8 845 975 1052226 83 Linux
/dev/sdd9 976 1106 1052226 83 Linux

root:/mnt : fdisk -l /dev/sda

Disk /dev/sda: 255 heads, 63 sectors, 1106 cylinders
Units = cylindres of 16065 * 512 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 8 64228+ 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 9 1106 8819685 5 Extended
/dev/sda5 9 582 4610623+ 83 Linux
/dev/sda6 583 713 1052226 82 Linux swap
/dev/sda7 714 844 1052226 83 Linux
/dev/sda8 845 975 1052226 83 Linux
/dev/sda9 976 1106 1052226 83 Linux
G77Q:root:/mnt : fdisk -l /dev/sdd

Try this

dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdd bs=64M

My guess is that you did not copy the whole disk and the partition table doesn't match up the beginning and finishing addresses of the partitions in the target disk.

Linux and Windows are nervous of handling a hard disk with the partition table not matching its interior filing systems. They wouldn't know what to do. Neither do I.
