sar/sa statistics... undocumented stats

Hi all,

I am currently investigating an issue for a server.
I notice alot of load early in the morning. However there is no clear pointer to what is the cause of this.

So I configured sar and am looking at the report.

At a certain time I found that one counter is significantly higher than when the load issue is not there.

00:00:01 CPU i000/s i001/s i006/s i007/s i008/s i009/s i012/s i015/s i051/s i059/s i067/s i075/s

The 4th last column seems to be significantly changing.
However I can't seem to find what this i051/s exactly is.
It is probably an interrupt code. However I am not clear what this interrupt stands for.

Could someone explain this counter to me or give a resource with explanation for all counters?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Did you use the "sar" command to see this output? If so, what was the exact command you used?

Regards,

Clifford

I used the report file, didn't change any defaults.

/var/log/sa/sarxx or something I believe
